A few photos are still trickling in as we finally finish off the rolls of film in our cameras by taking pictures of our cats. And the neighbor's cats. And the neighbors taking showers. So check out the Photo Gallery and the Buy Us a Round sections for more exciting shots.

Of course, more radio stations continue to call us. We love to talk about ourselves and promote the good name of bowling, but it's a shame the press is so damn lazy about doing some research first.

Preparations are already under way for the biggest adventure of next spring - Bowling to Vegas 2: BTV and the The Temple of Cheap Beer. Why is this the biggest adventure of next spring? Because YOU'RE coming with, dammit. So start packing your clean undies and your firecrackers. We'll fill you in on the details soon.

We may get things done slowly, but we do get them done. Most of the time. Some of the time. Occasionally, we may finish something we started.

We've added more Buy Us a Round photos for our loyal supporters. For those of you who don't see your photo yet...have no fear. The wheels are still turning.

A few more additions to the Photo Gallery have also been posted.

We're also logging the 200 hours of DV footage we shot, getting ready to start a rough cut of Bowling To Vegas: The Highly Entertaining Documentary.

Suprisingly enough, more radio stations continue to contact us, requesting interviews. A note to these stations: if you are a "Family Friendly" station, please take the time to actually read our site first. We're no Howard Stern, but the major themes around our trip center around bowling, gambling, drinking, cursing, and strippers. At no point do the words "7th Heaven" get mentioned.

04-23-03

Oddly enough, we're getting more press coverage after-the-fact than we did before we left. Maybe all those fancy-pants companies that didn't want to sponsor us will pay more attention when Bowling To Vegas 2: Bowl Harder comes around. Check out In The Press for details on where and when you can hear your favorite slacker bowlers on a radio station near you.

We're slowly getting the round photos, misc. photos and more fan letters posted. Sure, we can post everything at once, but then you'd have nothing to look forward to. Now you have another link to check out while you're sitting around work, not working.

We're back!

Our apologies for not getting the last couple updates from the road up as promptly as we would have liked. Things got a bit hectic, and a lot of good people bought us a round. We couldn't disappoint them.

All the postings from the road are now uploaded, as well as a few more photos. We'll be adding more to Photo Gallery and the Buy Us a Round Gallery during the week.

We'd like to thank all the people we met along the road, all the people that supported our trip, and everybody that may actually be reading this.

We're off!

Check the On the Road section for updates from....On the Road.

Only three days before we launch...

Actually, we're starting a bit early by hooking up with the lushleague on Friday, April 4th. We'll be at the Drake - 3550 W. Montrose, if you want to stop by for a beer. Our time in St. Louis will be pretty busy - hanging with the bowlingshirt.com guys, spending time in the Bowling Hall of Fame, and bowling at the Tropicana. Then we're up early for a 7:30 AM interview with KTRS.

We're still pretty flexible throughout America's heartland, but as soon as we hit Vegas we'll be hooking up with Poizen Ivy and the SinCitySounds crew at Jillians. We can only assume that showgirls will somehow be worked into the equation.

03-26-03
Our friend and patron saint, Poizen Ivy, will be throwing an extravaganza the night we get into Las Vegas. On April 9 at 8:30 p.m., Jillian's HiLife Lanes in Neonopolis, the newest and swankiest bowling center in Vegas, will host the group's arrival in Las Vegas, NV; and coincidentally, SinCitySounds.com night life goddess and bowling aficionado Poizen Ivy's "Birthday Bowl-A-Rama." If you'll be in the Las Vegas area, come on in and join us. If you're lucky, we'll give you bowling tips like: how to pick up the dreaded 7-10 split (dumb luck), secrets on winning a beer frame (free beer) and how to bowl a 300 game after 20 beers (we've never done it).

Less than two weeks left before we launch...

We've updated the Route section...you can check out fascinating and useless factoids about the cities we'll be traveling through.

We've also added another sponsor. Timberlanes - the Chicago bowling alley of choice for the Bowling to Vegas crew. Eight wooden lanes and a Galaga machine.

Our custom bowling shirts have arrived from bowlingshirt.com. Featuring a full color Bowling to Vegas logo on the back, they've also been personalized so we won't forget who we are. No matter how much we drink. If we can manage to not lose our Medical ID bracelets, we'll be in good shape.

And don't forget our charitable cause..we'll be auctioning off a Bowling to Vegas shirt, signed by local celebrities, bowling champs, bar skanks, and anybody we meet who seems vaguely interesting. We still haven't picked a worthwhile cause, so email any suggestions if you have them.

03-18-03
Lots of updates today...we've added a Fan Letters section to show our appreciation for all the feedback readers have been sending in. We've also added a In the Press section, to accomodate all the media coverage we've been getting. Which so far has been one radio interview with Nick Digilio at WGN Radio.

We've also decided to try and justify our existence on this planet by giving a little something back to society. What will we be giving back? Well, a Bowling to Vegas bowling shirt, donated by bowlingshirt.com. This shirt will be signed by all the interesting characters, celebrities, PBA champs and porn starlets we're destined to meet on the road. We'll then auction off the shirt, with all proceeds going to a worthwhile charity.

Which charity? That is still a matter up for discussion. We're leaning toward a lung cancer or liver cirrhosis thing. At the rate we're going, in about five years we'll be looking for some human-compatible pig organs to be transplanted into our bodies. Might as well start funding that now.

If you support a cause that you feel would be more worthwhile, let us know. All suggestions are welcome.

Things are moving along nicely...we're still fine tuning our final route ...hopefully get some pages up this weekend detailing that. In the meantime, the good folks at bowlingshirt.com support our endeavor...both morally and materialistically, in the form of some sweet B2V bowling shirts. And the word is spreading... sincitysounds.com, metafilter.com, agendacide.com. At this rate, we'll soon reach the upper echelons of American folk heros...right alongside Johnny Appleseed, Paul Bunyan, Regis Philben and Gallagher.

Well, the site's up and we're heavily into preproduction for the big trip. Check back during the next couple of weeks to see details about the cities we'll be visiting, the bowling alleys we'll be bowling in, and the super-villains we'll be battling along the way. Once we're on the road you can check out daily updates and see photos of us getting our asses kicked in various small towns. Why would you want to see how the trip is going? Why not? You're not doing anything else. Now put some pants on and get back to work.
