St. Louis - friendliest place on Earth. Friendly waitresses, friendly bowlers, friendly strippers. I guess in St. Louis, strippers just like to hang around outside of ballparks and pass out stripper coupons. As soon as we rolled into town, we headed straight for the International Bowling Museum. Great exhibits - nicely done walk-through history/timeline thing. Some of the relief sculptures of the PBA Hall of Famers were kind of creepy. And apparently Pete Weber owns the place - his face is plastered everywhere.
At night we met up with the natives for bowling and drinking. Tim and the gang from bowlingshirt.com were there, as were Kevin and Sue from 550 KTRS (www.kevinandsuetravel.com). Many of Kevin and Sue's colleagues showed up as well, and we had quite the ecelectic mix of bowlers. Most of the gang cut out early, but we stayed with the bowlingshirt.com guys til 2AM. Very brave of us indeed, considering we had to get up early for a 7:30 AM interview at KTRS on Sunday. Not to mention the daylight savings time screw-you-out-of-an-hour-sleep thing.
BTW, if you happen to be bowling in St.Louis, don't go to the Tropicana. Cool sign, but bad service and a ridiculous "pre-pay each game before you play" policy. Absolutely horrible.
